3-Day Wayanad Nature Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Chembra Peak
    1 hour 20 minutes (32.2 miles) from Wayanad

    In the morning, trek to the top of Chembra Peak and be mesmerized by the heart-shaped lake. Take in the breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding hills, grasslands, and forests.   2. Day 2: Banasura Sagar Dam
    1 hour 30 minutes (36.4 miles) from Chembra Peak

    In the morning, visit the Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earth dam in India. Take a walk on the dam and enjoy the serene view of the reservoir. In the afternoon, explore the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Take a jeep safari and spot elephants, tigers, leopards, and more. For the evening, visit the Chain Tree, a place full of myths and legends. Learn about the story of the British engineer and the Adivasi tribesmen and see the chain tree that is said to have magically grown overnight.

  3. Day 3: Meenmutty Falls
    1 hour 15 minutes (22.4 miles) from Banasura Sagar Dam

    In the morning, trek to the Meenmutty Falls, a three-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. Take a dip in the cool water and feel refreshed. In the afternoon, visit the Soochipara Falls, another beautiful waterfall with a pool at the bottom for swimming. For the evening, visit the Karapuzha Dam, a scenic spot with a beautiful reservoir and surrounding hills. Take a walk on the dam and admire the sunset over the water.
