4-Day Adventure Itinerary for Gokarna in September 2023

  1. Day 1: Kudle Beach
    9 minutes (2.5 km) from Gokarna Bus Station

    Start your adventure by heading to Kudle Beach. The morning is a perfect time to explore the beach, sunbathe, and do some surfing. After a refreshing lunch at one of the beach shacks, embark on an exhilarating trek to Half Moon Beach. The trek is through a dense forest and rocky terrain, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry enough water. In the evening, catch the beautiful sunset from Half Moon Beach, and head back to Kudle Beach to enjoy a delicious seafood dinner.

  2. Day 2: Om Beach
    14 minutes (5.5 km) from Kudle Beach

    Start the morning with a yoga session on Kudle Beach. After breakfast, head to Om Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Gokarna. Spend the afternoon indulging in water sports like parasailing, banana boat rides, and jet skiing. In the evening, hike up to the hilltop Shiva statue for a stunning view of the sunset. Head back to Om Beach for some live music and cocktails by the bonfire.

  3. Day 3: Mirjan Fort and Mahabaleshwar Temple
    40 minutes (22 km) from Om Beach

    Start the day early and drive to Mirjan Fort, a hidden gem of Gokarna. Explore the ancient fort and learn about the history of the region. Afterward, head to Mahabaleshwar Temple, one of the most revered temples in Gokarna. Enjoy a traditional Indian lunch, and then take a dip in the temple tank, which is believed to have healing properties. In the evening, catch the sunset at Paradise Beach and enjoy a bonfire with some local musicians.

  4. Day 4: Yana Caves
    2 hours (56 km) from Mahabaleshwar Temple

    For the final day of your adventure, take a road trip to Yana Caves, which are located in the Sahyadri mountain range. The trek to the caves is about 4 km and takes about 2 hours, but it’s worth it for the breathtaking views along the way. After exploring the caves, have a picnic lunch, and then head back to Gokarna for a relaxing evening by the beach. Enjoy your final sunset in Gokarna with a cold drink in hand.
