6-Day Adventure Itinerary for Kedarnath in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

  2. Day 2: Sonprayag
    30 minutes (20.8 km) from Kedarnath town

    In the morning, drive to Sonprayag, located at the confluence of the Mandakini and Basuki rivers. You can enjoy an adventurous river rafting session here. After lunch, drive to Triyugi Narayan Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. In the evening, return to Kedarnath town and relax.

  3. Day 3: Chorabari Tal
    4 hours (8.3 km) trek from Kedarnath town

    In the morning, start an adventurous trek to Chorabari Tal, also known as Gandhi Sarovar. It is a beautiful high altitude lake surrounded by mountains. Afternoon is a good time to enjoy a picnic lunch near the lake. In the evening, return to Kedarnath town and relax.

  4. Day 4: Rudra Cave
    3 hours (9.1 km) trek from Kedarnath town

    In the morning, start a trek to Rudra Cave, a beautiful natural cave located at an altitude of 2,286 meters. The trek is moderately difficult, but the stunning views of the surrounding mountains make it all worth it. Afternoon is the best time to meditate inside the cave.   5. Day 5: Gaurikund

    In the morning, drive to Gaurikund, a popular starting point for the trek to Kedarnath. You can enjoy a dip in the natural hot water springs here.   6. Day 6: Gaurikund
    1 hour 45 minutes (36.7 km) drive from Kedarnath town

    In the morning, go for a challenging trek to the beautiful Kedarnath Glacier. The trek is difficult and takes around 6-7 hours, but the stunning views of the glacier and surrounding mountains make it all worth it. Afternoon is the best time to enjoy a picnic lunch near the glacier. In the evening, return to Gaurikund and relax.
