Family-Friendly 3-Day Itinerary for Varkala in January 2024

  1. Day 1: Varkala Cliff

  2. Day 2: Sivagiri Mutt & Kappil Lake
    10 minutes (6.8 km) from Varkala Cliff

    In the morning, visit the Sivagiri Mutt, a famous ashram, and learn about the life and teachings of the great saint, Sree Narayana Guru. In the afternoon, visit the Kappil Lake, a serene lagoon with a beautiful estuary and backwaters. You can take a boat ride or try fishing here. In the evening, visit some of the local shops and try some delicious seafood.

  3. Day 3: Anjengo Fort & Ponnumthuruthu Island

In the afternoon, take a boat ride to the Ponnumthuruthu Island, a beautiful little island with a temple. You can also have a picnic here and enjoy the scenic beauty.
