Four-Day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Dwaraka in October 2023

  1. Day 1: Sri Dwarkadheesh Temple
    10 minutes (3.4 km) from Dwarka Beach

    In the morning, visit the Sri Dwarkadheesh Temple, one of the most prominent and revered Hindu temples in India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and features a five-story main shrine with stunning architecture. After lunch, visit the nearby Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the evening, head to Dwarka Beach to enjoy a beautiful sunset and some local street food.

  2. Day 2: Bet Dwarka Island
    1 hour 20 minutes (32.5 km) from Sri Dwarkadheesh Temple

    Take a day trip to Bet Dwarka Island, located just off the coast of Dwarka. The island can be reached by a short ferry ride and is famous for its beautiful beaches, temples, and wildlife. Visit the ancient Rukmini Devi Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna's wife, and the beautiful Krishna Temple, known for its unique architecture. Spend the day relaxing on the beach, watching dolphins, and sampling local seafood. Return to Dwarka in the evening.

  3. Day 3: Gomti Ghat and Beyt Dwarka Beach
    15 minutes (5 km) from Sri Dwarkadheesh Temple

    In the morning, visit Gomti Ghat, a sacred bathing spot where devotees take a dip in the Gomti River before visiting the temples. After lunch, head to Beyt Dwarka Beach, another beautiful beach near Dwarka, known for its clear waters and soft sand. Explore the beach and enjoy a picnic with your family. Return to Dwarka in the evening.

  4. Day 4: Dwarka Lighthouse and Hanuman Dandi Temple
    20 minutes (6 km) from Beyt Dwarka Beach

    In the morning, visit the Dwarka Lighthouse, which offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the surrounding area. After lunch, visit the Hanuman Dandi Temple, a popular Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The temple is located on a beautiful beach and features a five-story tall statue of Lord Hanuman. In the evening, head to the local markets for some souvenir shopping and to try some local street food.

If you have extra time, you can consider visiting the nearby Rukmani Temple, Okha Madhi, and Porbandar. You can also take a day trip to the nearby Marine National Park to explore the coral reefs and marine life.
