Darjeeling Bachelor Party Itinerary - October 2023

  1. Day 1: Tiger Hill Sunrise
    20 minutes (5 miles) from Darjeeling Town

    Early morning, leave the hotel to watch the sunrise from Tiger Hill. On the way, you'll see the beautiful tea gardens of Darjeeling. After the sunrise, enjoy a hot cup of tea at the tea estate. Return to the hotel for breakfast. In the afternoon, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute to see the Tenzing Norgay Rock, the museum, and the zoo with snow leopards, red panda, and Siberian tiger. In the evening, head to the Darjeeling Mall Road to shop for souvenirs and enjoy a drink at one of the bars.

  2. Day 2: Paragliding in Kalimpong
    2 hours (35 miles) from Darjeeling Town

    Today, start the day early and head to Kalimpong for paragliding. Witness the stunning aerial views of Kalimpong and the Himalayas from the sky. After that, explore the local markets and try some local food. In the afternoon, visit the Durpin Dhara hill, the highest point from where you can have a 360-degree view of Kalimpong. In the evening, return to Darjeeling and enjoy some live music at one of the bars in the city.

  3. Day 3: River Rafting in Teesta
    1 hour 30 minutes (35 miles) from Darjeeling Town

    Start the day early, and head to the Teesta river for a thrilling river rafting experience. The rapids of Teesta river offer an adrenaline-rushing experience to the adventure-seekers. After that, visit the Japanese Peace Pagoda, a Buddhist temple with a serene and peaceful environment. In the afternoon, visit the Ghum Monastery, one of the oldest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in Darjeeling. In the evening, head to the Keventers for some cocktails and delicious food.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, you can visit the Darjeeling Ropeway, a cable car that offers stunning views of the valley. You can also try Darjeeling tea at the Happy Valley Tea Estate. For a side trip, visit Mirik, a small hill station famous for its natural beauty and Sumendu Lake. To maximize your fun, try paragliding, trekking or mountain biking in the surrounding areas. You can also take a toy train ride from Darjeeling to Ghum and back to experience the enchanting journey through the hills. Lastly, don't forget to pack warm clothes as October can get chilly in Darjeeling.
