3-Day Itinerary for Coorg in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Abbey Falls
    25 minutes (9.5 km) from Madikeri

    In the morning, head to Abbey Falls, one of the most visited waterfalls in Coorg. It is surrounded by lush greenery and has the perfect backdrop for taking amazing photos. Afternoon, go for a nature walk around the area to explore the flora and fauna. In the evening, relax at the waterfall and enjoy the peaceful ambiance.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour 5 minutes (28 km) from Madikeri

    In the morning, visit the Dubare Elephant Camp and get up close with the elephants. You can even enjoy an elephant ride and learn how they are trained and taken care of. In the afternoon, take a leisurely walk around the camp and enjoy the scenic beauty. In the evening, attend the elephant feeding and bathing ceremony.

  3. Day 3: Talakaveri Temple and Brahmagiri Peak
    1 hour 20 minutes (45 km) from Madikeri

    In the morning, visit the Talakaveri Temple, the birthplace of the River Kaveri. It is one of the most sacred places in Coorg and the temple is surrounded by beautiful hills. In the afternoon, go for a trek to Brahmagiri Peak, which is the highest peak in Coorg. The trek is a bit challenging but the view from the top is breathtaking. In the evening, relax and enjoy the sunset from the peak.

Coorg is a place full of natural beauty and there are many places to explore. You can visit the Namdroling Monastery, Chelavara Falls, or Raja's Seat. You can also take a side trip to Nagarhole National Park or the Iruppu Falls. To maximize your fun, you can also try local Coorgi cuisine and coffee.
