3-Day Itinerary for Dominican Republic in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Santo Domingo
    25 minutes (14.6 km) from Las Américas International Airport

    Morning: Visit the Colonial Zone, the historic center of Santo Domingo. Stroll through the cobblestone streets to see the first cathedral, the Alcázar de Colón (the former residence of the son of Christopher Columbus), and the National Pantheon.
    Afternoon: Walk to the Mercado Modelo, a large produce and craft market. Enjoy the lively atmosphere and buy some souvenirs.
    Evening: Head to the Malecón, a scenic avenue by the sea, for a picturesque sunset view. Enjoy dinner and drinks at one of the many restaurants in the area.

  2. Day 2: Punta Cana
    3 hours (197 km) from Santo Domingo

    Morning: Relax at one of the stunning beaches in Punta Cana, such as Macao Beach or Playa Blanca. Soak up the sun and go for a swim.
    Afternoon: Visit the Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park and Reserve, a nature reserve with 12 freshwater lagoons, over 500 species of plants, and numerous bird species.
    Evening: Experience the vibrant nightlife of Punta Cana by visiting Coco Bongo, a popular club with live shows and music.

  3. Day 3: Jarabacoa
    2 hour 45 minutes (157 km) from Punta Cana

    Morning: Go on a scenic hike to the Salto de Jimenoa waterfall, a beautiful waterfall that drops over 148 feet. Enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and lush greenery.
    Afternoon: Visit Rancho Baiguate, an adventure park offering activities such as zip lining, horseback riding, and white water rafting.
    Evening: Enjoy some delicious local cuisine at one of the many restaurants in Jarabacoa, such as Restaurante Mi Jardín or La Tinaja.

Don't miss out on visiting Altos de Chavón, a charming Mediterranean-style village with a museum, amphitheater, and art galleries.
