Dates are flexible. This day-by-day plan is provisional until you choose exact travel dates.
Start at Chelsea Market on Ninth Avenue, where the food stalls make an easy, choose-your-own lunch. Allow 1–1.5 hours and about $15–30 per person; the market is generally open daily, but individual vendors keep their own hours. If it’s busy, grab food to go and find a spot inside rather than waiting for a table.
From the market, walk a few minutes to the High Line entrance and head north toward Hudson Yards. The elevated park’s gardens, art, and views over the city are best enjoyed at an unhurried pace—give it 1–1.5 hours. It’s free and typically open daily, with hours varying by season; check the posted schedule before setting out.
From Hudson Yards, take the 7 train one stop to Times Square–42nd Street, or walk east along 34th Street in about 20–25 minutes. Spend 30–45 minutes taking in Times Square after dark, then walk to your Broadway theater nearby. Shows usually run 2.5–3 hours; ticket prices vary widely, and it’s wise to arrive 30 minutes before curtain. Check the theater’s own schedule and entry guidance when booking.
