Dates are flexible. This day-by-day plan is provisional until you choose exact travel dates.
Start at St. Aloysius Chapel in Hampankatta, allowing about an hour for the painted interior. Check visiting hours before you go—access can be limited during services or church events—and ask before taking photos. A modest dress code is sensible. A short auto-rickshaw ride (roughly 10–15 minutes, traffic permitting) takes you to Kudroli Gokarnath Temple; spend about an hour exploring the ornate complex. It’s an active place of worship, so dress respectfully and follow any footwear or photography guidance at the entrance.
Head to Giri Manja’s in Bunder for Mangalorean seafood. Budget around ₹300–700 per person, and allow 1–1.5 hours; it’s a much-loved, compact spot, so a wait is possible, especially around lunchtime. From Kudroli, an auto or cab should take about 10–15 minutes, depending on traffic.
Continue by cab or auto to Sultan Battery in Boloor (about 15–25 minutes from Bunder). Allow 45 minutes to see the old watchtower and enjoy the waterfront; the tower’s access and hours can vary, so treat the riverside views as the reliable part of the stop. Then make your way to Tannirbhavi Beach for about 1.5 hours toward sunset. Check the local ferry service from Sultan Battery before setting out; if it isn’t running, take a cab or auto by road and allow extra time. Bring water, and check local conditions before swimming.
Head out to Pilikula Nisargadhama in Vamanjoor early; from central Mangalore, allow roughly 30–45 minutes by taxi or auto, depending on traffic. Give the large nature-and-heritage complex 3–4 hours, but check ahead which attractions are open that day: the zoo, lake, botanical garden and heritage areas can have separate hours or ticketing, and not every facility is necessarily operating. Bring water, sun protection and comfortable walking shoes; keep a little extra time for getting between sections.
Return toward Kadri Manjunath Temple, allowing around 30 minutes from Pilikula by road and about an hour at the temple. Its old stone architecture and hillside setting are worth taking slowly. Temple access and timings can vary around worship and special events, so check locally before setting out; dress modestly and follow any photography or footwear instructions. Donations are optional, while any entry or special-access charges should be confirmed at the temple.
Continue to Ideal Café on M.G. Road for Mangalorean snacks or a dessert—budget roughly ₹200–500 per person and about an hour. Then head to Kadri Park for an easy final stroll; it’s a short ride from the café, though traffic can stretch the trip. Allow around an hour to wander, and check the park’s current closing time before you go. A taxi or auto is convenient for both hops; agree on the fare beforehand if the meter isn’t used.
