If you have an extra day, visit the Shevaroy Temple, located 30 minutes (9 km) from Yercaud Lake. It is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shevaroyan and is surrounded by scenic beauty. You can also take a side trip to the Mettur Dam, located 2 hours (70 km) from Yercaud. It is one of the largest dams in India and offers a beautiful view of the river.
