City Experience Itinerary for Rishikesh in September 2023

  1. Day 1: Ram Jhula
    10 minutes (2.5 km) from Rishikesh Bus Stand

    Start your day by visiting Ram Jhula, a suspension bridge over the Ganges which connects the two banks of the river. Take a morning walk on the bridge to experience the fresh air and scenic views. Afternoon is the best time to visit the Parmarth Niketan Ashram which offers various meditation and yoga classes. In the evening, enjoy the spiritual Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat.

  2. Day 2: Neer Garh Waterfall
    30 minutes (12 km) from Ram Jhula

    Today, head to the Neer Garh Waterfall, a serene and beautiful waterfall located in the midst of lush green mountains. Start your day with a refreshing dip in the crystal clear water of the waterfall. Afternoon, visit the Beatles Ashram, also known as Chaurasi Kutia, an abandoned ashram where the Beatles stayed in 1968. In the evening, walk through the local market and enjoy local street food.

  3. Day 3: Trimbakeshwar Temple
    20 minutes (6 km) from Neer Garh Waterfall

    On the last day of the trip, visit the Trimbakeshwar Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is known for its architecture and intricate carvings. Afternoon, visit the Rajaji National Park, a beautiful wildlife sanctuary located at the foothills of the Shivalik range. In the evening, head to Laxman Jhula for some souvenir shopping before leaving for home.
