2-Day Pune Foodie Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Koregaon Park
    10 minutes (3.5 km) from Pune Airport

    Morning: Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the famous German Bakery, known for its freshly baked bread and mouth-watering omelets. After breakfast, head to Osho Ashram, a spiritual haven known for its tranquil environment and meditation programs.

    Afternoon: Once you've worked up an appetite, head to Arthur's Theme for a European-style lunch. Don't miss their signature dish, the Arthur's Platter, which includes steak, sausages, and grilled veggies. After lunch, explore the nearby Aga Khan Palace, home to Mahatma Gandhi during his imprisonment in 1942.

    Evening: End your day with some lip-smacking street food at J.M Road. Try the local favorites, vada pav and bhel puri, from the numerous food stalls lining the street.

  2. Day 2: FC Road
    20 minutes (5 km) from Koregaon Park

    Morning: Start your day with a cup of chai and bun maska at Vaishali, a legendary Pune institution. After breakfast, visit the Shaniwar Wada Palace, a historical fortification that was the seat of the Peshwas of the Maratha Empire.

    Afternoon: Head to Goodluck Cafe for a traditional Pune-style lunch of keema pav and chicken biryani. Wash it down with their famous mango mastani, a thick mango milkshake topped with ice cream. After lunch, visit the Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, which houses over 20,000 artifacts of Indian history and culture.

    Evening: End your day with a fancy dinner at the rooftop restaurant Paasha, known for its stunning views of the city. Try the mouth-watering tandoori chicken and dal makhani, accompanied by some naan bread.

Recommendations

If you have time, take a day trip to the nearby hill station of Lonavala, known for its scenic views and chikki (a sweet made of jaggery and peanuts). You can also visit the nearby Sinhagad Fort, known for its trekking trails and panoramic views of the Sahyadri mountain range.
