3-Day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Coorg in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Abbey Falls
    20 minutes (6.8 km) from Madikeri

    Morning: Start your day with a visit to the picturesque Abbey Falls. The waterfall is located within a coffee plantation and surrounded by lush greenery. Take a nature walk to enjoy the serene beauty of the falls and its surroundings.

    Afternoon: Head to the Madikeri Fort, a 17th-century fort with a rich history. Visit the museum inside the fort that showcases the history of Coorg.

    Evening: End your day with a visit to Raja's Seat, a beautiful garden that offers a stunning view of the sunset. Kids will enjoy the musical fountains that are lit up in the evening.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour 30 minutes (46.4 km) from Madikeri

    Morning: Spend the morning at Dubare Elephant Camp, where you can interact with elephants and learn about their daily routines. Enjoy a ride on an elephant's back and watch them being bathed and fed.

    Afternoon: Head to Bhagamandala, a sacred confluence of three rivers - the Cauvery, the Kanika, and the Sujyothi. Visit the Bhagandeshwara Temple and seek blessings.

    Evening: End your day with a visit to the Madikeri Sunset Point. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the sunset and the entire city of Madikeri from the top of the hill.
