Start your day early with a visit to the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. You can take a jeep safari or a trek to explore the sanctuary. The morning hours are the best time to spot wild animals such as elephants, tigers, and leopards. After lunch, you can visit the nearby Pookode Lake, which is a freshwater lake surrounded by dense forests. You can take a boat ride or go for a nature walk around the lake. In the evening, visit the Chain Tree, located near the lake. The legend behind the tree is fascinating and worth listening to.

In addition to the above-mentioned places, you can also consider visiting the Chembra Peak, which is the highest peak in Wayanad. The trek to the peak is challenging but offers stunning views of the surrounding hills. You can also visit the Thirunelli Temple, which is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. If you have more time, you can plan a day trip to the nearby town of Sulthan Bathery, which is known for its historical significance. To maximize your fun, try the local cuisine, which includes dishes such as appam, puttu, and kadala curry. Don't forget to try the famous Wayanad coffee.
