4-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Rishikesh in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore the Spiritual Side of Rishikesh
    20 minutes (5.8 km) from Rishikesh Bus Stand

    In the morning, visit the iconic Lakshman Jhula bridge, which is believed to be the spot where Lord Rama's brother Lakshman crossed the river Ganges. Then, head over to the Trayambakeshwar Temple which has both religious and architectural significance. Enjoy the serene atmosphere of the Beatles Ashram which is now a popular attraction and has graffiti and artwork related to the band. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony at the Triveni Ghat where priests perform rituals to worship the river Ganges.

  2. Day 2: Adventure Activities in Rishikesh
    10 minutes (4.6 km) from Triveni Ghat

    In the morning, get an adrenaline rush by trying out white water rafting on the river Ganges. After lunch, head to the Neer Garh Waterfall which is about 2.5 km trek from the parking area. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the waterfall or just relax near the cascade and take in the beautiful scenery. In the evening, visit the Neer Gaddu Waterfall which is just 10 minutes away from the parking area and enjoy a picnic there.

  3. Day 3: Explore Rishikesh's Natural Beauty

    In the morning, attend a yoga and meditation session at one of the many ashrams in Rishikesh. The Parmarth Niketan Ashram and the Sivananda Ashram are popular ones. After lunch, visit the Beatles Ashram which is now a popular attraction and has graffiti and artwork related to the band. In the evening, head over to the Trayambakeshwar Temple which has both religious and architectural significance and enjoy the stunning evening aarti.

There are many other attractions and experiences to consider in Rishikesh. You can try out bungee jumping or flying fox for a dose of adventure. Visit the Vashishta Gufa which is a cave where the sage Vashishta meditated. Take a day trip to the Haridwar, known as the 'Gateway to the Gods'.
