Four-Day Itinerary for South Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore the Historic Panaji
    30 minutes (14.4 km) from Dabolim Airport

    In the morning, start your day with a visit to the famous Immaculate Conception Church, a picturesque landmark in the heart of Panaji. After that, walk around the Latin Quarter of Fontainhas, to see the colourful old Portuguese-style houses and quaint streets. For lunch, head to the popular Mum’s Kitchen and try their traditional Goan fish curry. In the afternoon, visit the Goa State Museum to learn about the state's rich history and culture. End your day with a relaxing boat cruise on the Mandovi River, where you can enjoy the scenic views of the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Serene Beaches of South Goa
    45 minutes (20.3 km) from Panaji

    Start your day early and drive to Colva Beach to enjoy the sunrise. Have breakfast at the famous Martin’s Corner and then head to the secluded Betul Beach. This pristine beach is less crowded compared to other popular beaches and offers a serene and peaceful environment. Relax on the beach or swim in the clear waters. For lunch, visit the Fisherman's Wharf near Betul beach. In the afternoon, head to Agonda beach, known for its beautiful shoreline and a perfect spot for sunbathing. In the evening, visit the Cabo de Rama Fort and enjoy the scenic views of the Arabian sea.

  3. Day 3: Wildlife and Waterfalls
    1 hour and 10 minutes (42 km) from Agonda Beach

    Start your day with a visit to the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to many species of animals, birds and reptiles. Take a guided tour of the sanctuary to make the most of your visit. After lunch, visit the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, one of the highest waterfalls in India. Enjoy the view of the falls and take a dip in the refreshing water. Before returning to your hotel, stop by the Sahakari Spice Farm to learn about the various spices grown in the region.

  4. Day 4: Forts and Beaches
    1 hour and 15 minutes (53.8 km) from Dudhsagar Waterfalls

    Start your day by visiting the Reis Magos Fort, a 16th-century fort located on the banks of the Mandovi River. After exploring the fort, head to the Vagator Beach known for its dramatic red cliffs and clear water. Have lunch at the Bean Me Up Café, located near the beach. In the afternoon, visit the Anjuna Flea Market, which sells everything from handicrafts, clothes, jewellery to souvenirs. End your day with a visit to the Chapora Fort to enjoy the sunset and panoramic views of the coastline.
