Kerala Honeymoon Itinerary - January 2024

  1. Day 1: Kochi
    30 minutes (20 km) from Cochin International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Fort Kochi beach for a romantic walk and catch a glimpse of the Chinese fishing nets. In the afternoon, take a ferry ride to Willingdon Island for a panoramic view of the harbor. In the evening, watch a Kathakali performance at the Kerala Kathakali Centre.

  2. Day 2: Munnar

    In the morning, visit the Eravikulam National Park to see the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. In the afternoon, sip on a cup of tea at a tea plantation. In the evening, stroll around the town and enjoy the cool breeze.

  3. Day 3: Thekkady
    3 hours (90 km) from Munnar

    In the morning, go for a bamboo rafting in the Periyar Tiger Reserve. In the afternoon, explore the spice plantations and learn about the various spices. In the evening, go for a romantic walk by the Periyar Lake.

Recommendations

Make sure to visit the Athirappilly Waterfalls, the largest waterfalls in Kerala. You can also take a side trip to the Wayanad hill station for some adventure activities like trekking and camping. For maximizing your fun, try some local delicacies like appam and stew, puttu and kadala curry, and fish molee. Don't forget to take a boat ride in the Vembanad Lake, the longest lake in India.
