4-Day Pokhara Itinerary for Shoestring Budget in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Phewa Lake
    15 minutes (4.1 km) from Pokhara Airport

    Start your first day in Pokhara by visiting the beautiful Phewa Lake, the second-largest lake in Nepal. You can rent a boat and explore the lake on your own or take a guided tour. In the morning, enjoy the calm waters and stunning views of the Annapurna Range. In the afternoon, visit the Tal Barahi Temple, located on an island in the lake. In the evening, head to the Lakeside Bazaar and try some local street food while enjoying the sunset.

  2. Day 2: World Peace Pagoda and Devi's Falls
    30 minutes (7.5 km) from Phewa Lake

    Start your day by visiting the World Peace Pagoda, a Buddhist stupa located on top of a hill. Enjoy the panoramic view of Pokhara and the Himalayas. In the afternoon, visit the Bindhyabasini Temple, a Hindu temple located in the heart of Pokhara. Take a walk around the temple complex and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. In the evening, head back to the Lakeside Bazaar and have dinner at one of the local restaurants.

  4. Day 4: Begnas Lake and Mahendra Cave
    1 hour 15 minutes (26 km) from Bindhyabasini Temple

    Start your day by visiting Begnas Lake, a beautiful lake located 15 km east of Pokhara. Enjoy the serene environment and stunning views of the mountains. You can rent a boat and explore the lake or take a guided tour. In the afternoon, head to Mahendra Cave, a limestone cave located on the north side of Pokhara. Take a walk around the cave and admire the natural formations. In the evening, head back to the Lakeside Bazaar and do some souvenir shopping.
