3-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Rishikesh in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit the Beatles Ashram
    20 minutes (3.7 km) from Rishikesh Bus Stand

    In the morning, head to the Beatles Ashram, also known as Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram. Explore the graffiti-covered walls and the meditation caves where the Beatles stayed. Afternoon, walk through Rajaji National Park, home to various wildlife like elephants, tigers, and leopards. In the evening, visit Parmarth Niketan, a famous ashram situated on the banks of Ganga. Attend the Ganga aarti ceremony and witness the beautiful rituals of offering prayers to the river.

  2. Day 2: Explore the Temples and Ghats
    10 minutes (2.1 km) from Beatles Ashram

    Visit Trimbakeshwar Temple, a 13-story structure, and admire the beautiful architecture. Take a dip in the holy Ganga at Triveni Ghat, one of the most sacred river banks in India. In the afternoon, walk across the Laxman Jhula and explore the various shops, cafes, and local markets. In the evening, attend the Ganga aarti at Triveni Ghat, which is known for its beautiful setting, lit lamps, and bhajans.

  3. Day 3: Trek to Neer Garh Waterfall
    30 minutes (10.6 km) from Laxman Jhula

    In the morning, start an early trek to Neer Garh Waterfall. The trek is moderately difficult, and it takes around 2 hours to reach the waterfall. Spend the afternoon swimming in the cool waters of the waterfall and enjoying the beautiful scenery. In the evening, head back to Laxman Jhula and enjoy the local street food.
