Kedarnath 7-Day Itinerary for October 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

  2. Day 2: Vasuki Tal

  3. Day 3: Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary

  4. Day 4: Shankaracharya Samadhi

  5. Day 5: Chorabari Tal
    4 hours (11.6 miles) from Shankaracharya Samadhi

    In the morning, embark on a trek to the beautiful Chorabari Tal, a high altitude lake also known as Gandhi Sarovar. The lake is located at the base of Chorabari Glacier and offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Have a picnic lunch by the lake and return to Kedarnath by evening.

  6. Day 6: Bhairav Temple
    5 minutes (0.2 miles) from Kedarnath Temple

    In the morning, visit the Bhairav Temple which is dedicated to Lord Bhairav, a fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva. The temple is located in the heart of Kedarnath and offers a glimpse of the local culture and traditions. Spend the afternoon at the Kedarnath Museum which has a collection of artefacts related to the history and mythology of the region. In the evening, enjoy a cultural performance by local artists.

  7. Day 7: Gaurikund

The place has great religious significance as it is believed that Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married here.
