A Day in Dwarka

  1. 9:00AM: Dwarkadhish Temple
    Located in the heart of the city

    The temple is dedicated to the wife of Lord Krishna, Rukmini. It is an ancient temple with beautiful architecture and carvings. The temple is open to the public from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

  3. 1:00PM: Lunch at Hotel Guruprerna
    10 minutes (2.5km) from Rukmini Devi Temple

    Hotel Guruprerna offers authentic Gujarati cuisine with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The ambience is pleasant and the staff is courteous.

    Bet Dwarka is an island located in the Arabian Sea and is considered to be the place where Lord Krishna lived with his family. The island has many temples and is a popular pilgrimage site. The best time to visit is between October and February. The island can be reached by boat from Okha.

  5. 5:30PM: Sunset at Dwarka Beach
    20 minutes (12km) from Bet Dwarka

    The Dwarka Beach is a beautiful place to watch the sunset with the gentle waves of the Arabian Sea in the background. The beach is clean and ideal for a leisurely walk or a quick swim.

If you have time, you can visit the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, Gomti Ghat, Bhadkeshwar Mahadev Temple, and the Gita Mandir. You can also take a side trip to Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, which is around 100km from Dwarka. To maximize your fun, try the local street food such as Khandvi, Dhokla, Fafda, and Jalebi. Don't forget to shop for traditional handicrafts, textiles, and the famous Dwarka Peda.
