Kerala and Coorg 4-Day Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Cochin
    18 minutes (6.2 miles) from Cochin International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Dutch Palace, also known as Mattancherry Palace, built by the Portuguese and gifted to the Raja of Cochin. Later, explore the Jewish Synagogue, the oldest active synagogue in the Commonwealth of Nations. In the afternoon, head to Fort Kochi and explore the Chinese Fishing Nets and St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India. In the evening, watch a Kathakali dance performance, a traditional dance form of Kerala.

  2. Day 2: Munnar
    3 hours 30 minutes (87.9 miles) from Cochin

    Set off early in the morning and drive to Munnar, a hill station famous for its tea plantations. Visit the Tea Museum to learn about the history of tea in the region. In the afternoon, explore the beautiful Eravikulam National Park and spot the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. In the evening, take a leisurely walk through the town and enjoy local delicacies.

  3. Day 3: Coorg
    5 hours 30 minutes (182.9 miles) from Munnar

    Drive to Coorg, also known as Kodagu, in the morning. Visit the Namdroling Monastery, the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism outside of Tibet. In the afternoon, explore the Dubare Elephant Camp and enjoy an elephant ride. In the evening, take a stroll around the Madikeri Fort and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding hills.

  4. Day 4: Wayanad
    3 hours 30 minutes (106.2 miles) from Coorg

    Drive to Wayanad in the morning and visit the Edakkal Caves, famous for its ancient petroglyphs. Later, head to the Soochipara Falls and take a dip in the refreshing waters. In the evening, visit the Pookode Lake and enjoy a boat ride.
