6-Day Adventure Itinerary for Kedarnath in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath
    3.5 hours (10 km) trek from Gaurikund

    In the morning, start your trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath. The trek is filled with picturesque views of the mountains and rivers. You can stop at Rambara for some refreshments.   2. Day 2: Kedarnath Temple and Bhairav Temple

  5. Day 5: Sonprayag and Triyuginarayan Temple

    Visit Sonprayag, which is located at the confluence of the Mandakini and Basuki rivers. From there, head to the Triyuginarayan temple, which is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married. The temple is surrounded by hot water springs and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Return to Kedarnath for the evening.

  6. Day 6: Departure from Kedarnath
    3.5 hours (10 km) trek to Gaurikund

    On the last day, trek back to Gaurikund and depart for your onward journey.

If you have an extra day, consider visiting the Tungnath temple, which is located about 20 km from Kedarnath. You can also take a side trip to the nearby town of Guptkashi, which is known for its ancient temples and scenic beauty.
