Two-Day Itinerary for Yercaud in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Kiliyur Falls
    10 minutes (3.5 km) from Yercaud Bus Stand

    In the morning, visit Kiliyur Falls. It is a breathtaking waterfall located in the middle of a forest. The waterfall is at its best during the monsoon season, which is June, and the surrounding greenery is mesmerizing. You can trek down to the bottom of the falls, but be prepared for a strenuous hike back up. In the afternoon, visit the Yercaud Lake, which is an artificial lake surrounded by gardens and trees. You can enjoy boating, horse riding, and other activities. In the evening, head to Shevaroy Temple, which is located on top of a hill. The temple offers a stunning view of the valley and surrounding hills.

  2. Day 2: Pagoda Point and Lady's Seat
    15 minutes (4.2 km) from Shevaroy Temple

    In the morning, visit Pagoda Point, which is a viewpoint offering a panoramic view of the Salem town and its surroundings. The viewpoint is named after the four pillars installed here, which resemble a Chinese pagoda. You can enjoy the view along with a cup of hot tea or coffee. In the afternoon, visit Lady's Seat, which is another viewpoint offering a stunning view of the valley. It is called Lady's Seat as it was once a favorite spot for the British women to view the valley. You can also visit the nearby Rose Garden, which has a collection of rare flowers and plants. In the evening, visit the Yercaud town market, which offers a variety of local products and handicrafts.
