Recommendations

Coorg has a lot of nature-related activities. You can go trekking at Tadiandamol, which is the highest peak in Coorg. The trek is a bit challenging, but the view from the top is worth the effort. Another place to consider is the Nagarhole National Park, which is a tiger reserve. You can take a safari and spot some tigers. You can also visit the Chiklihole Dam, which is a beautiful spot for picnics. Lastly, don't forget to try the local Coorg cuisine, especially the pandi curry, which is a pork curry.

For side trips, you can visit the nearby towns of Mysore and Mangalore. Mysore is known for its palaces and temples, while Mangalore is known for its beaches. If you want to maximize your fun, consider doing a homestay in Coorg. It will give you a unique experience of staying with a local family and learning their culture and traditions. Lastly, make sure to carry comfortable shoes and raincoats as Coorg receives a lot of rain in July.
