Transportation

Seoul has an extensive subway network and bus system that's quick and affordable. Since attractions are spread out and rely mainly on public transportation, using a T-money card will be helpful at all times**. Cabs are also plentiful but more expensive. Underground parking spaces are available almost everywhere in the city but it has to be monitored to not to overstay, also some areas do not have parking places. A realistic 1-day budget transportation is 15,000 KRW ($13 USD).

Useful Tips

If you have less time, skip Bukchon Hanok Village and Seoul Children's Museum. If you have more time, consider visiting Gyeonghuigung palace, Yangjae Flower Market as well as walking along the Cheonggyecheon Stream. Renting of the Han River cruises is also available, a must do in spring and summer season.

Airports

Incheon International Airport (ICN) is the main airport, located about 50km west of Seoul in the city of Incheon. The cheaper option, Gimpo International Airport (GMP), is closer, around 22km away. Taxis, subways, and buses are available for both airports, the estimated price and time range from 40,000 KRW and up to an hour for a taxi ride from Incheon airport to central Seoul, and about 15,000 KRW for subway fees.
