Visit the Dubare Elephant Camp and spend the day with these gentle giants. Take an elephant ride through the jungle, feed them and watch them get bathed in the river. In the afternoon, head to Nisargadhama, a beautiful island with a hanging bridge, boating and deer park. In the evening, visit the Namdroling Monastery, one of the largest Tibetan settlements in India, and witness their unique culture.
Spend your last day exploring the wildlife of Coorg. Start with the Coorg Wildlife Society, where you can see a variety of animals such as leopards, tigers, elephants and more. In the afternoon, head to the Chettalli Tea Estate for a refreshing cup of tea while enjoying the scenic view of the lush green tea plantation. In the evening, visit the Madikeri Fort, a historic fort built in the 17th century, and learn about the history of Coorg.
If you have time, you can also visit the Talacauvery, the birthplace of river Cauvery. You can also take a trek to the Tadiandamol Peak, the highest peak in Coorg. Another great experience is trying out the local coffee at one of the many coffee plantations in the region.
