Two-Day Itinerary for Amritsar in June 2023

  1. Day 1: The Golden Temple
    10 minutes (1.3 miles) from Amritsar Junction Railway Station

    The Golden Temple is the most popular attraction in the city and a must-visit. In the morning, witness the beautiful sunrise at the temple and take a dip in the holy Sarovar. In the afternoon, visit the Central Sikh Museum and learn about the history of Sikhism. In the evening, attend the Palki Sahib ceremony where the holy book is carried to its resting place.

  2. Day 2: Jallianwala Bagh and Wagah Border
    12 minutes (2.5 miles) from The Golden Temple

    In the morning, visit Jallianwala Bagh and pay respects to the martyrs who lost their lives in the 1919 massacre. In the afternoon, visit the Partition Museum and learn about the struggles of the partition. In the evening, head to the Wagah Border to witness the flag-lowering ceremony and feel the patriotic fervour.
