Start your day with a trek to the Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad. The trek is a 4 km climb and will take about 3-4 hours depending on your fitness level. You will be mesmerized by the heart-shaped Chembra Lake that is visible from the top of the peak. After the trek, head to Pookode Lake, a natural freshwater lake where you can go boating. In the evening, visit the Edakkal Caves, an archaeological site with ancient rock engravings that date back to the Neolithic era.
Start your day with a visit to the Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earthen dam in India. You can take a boat ride and enjoy the scenic beauty of the surroundings. Afterward, head to Kuruva Island, a serene and picturesque river delta formed by the River Kabini. The island is uninhabited and is home to many species of birds, orchids and herbs. You can take a dip in the river or go bamboo rafting. In the evening, visit the Thirunelli Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
Start your day with a visit to the Meenmutty falls, a three-tiered waterfall that is surrounded by lush greenery. You need to trek for about 2 km to reach the waterfall. Afterward, head to Soochipara Falls, a three-tiered waterfall that cascades down from a height of about 200 meters. You can take a dip in the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. In the evening, visit the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, a wildlife reserve where you can spot elephants, tigers, leopards, and many other species of animals.
If you have extra time, you can visit the Wayanad Heritage Museum, the Jain Temple, or the Karapuzha Dam. You can also take a side trip to the nearby cities of Coorg or Mysore.
