2-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Rishikesh in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Triveni Ghat
    10 minutes (2.8 km) from Rishikesh Bus Stand

    In the morning, head to Triveni Ghat to witness the morning Aarti ceremony that takes place every day at sunrise. Afterward, take a dip in the holy water, which is believed to wash away one's sins. In the afternoon, explore the local market and try out some street food. Head to the Beatles Ashram in the evening, where you'll find graffiti art and a serene atmosphere.

  2. Day 2: Rajaji National Park
    1 hour 10 minutes (33.5 km) from Rishikesh Bus Stand

    Spend the morning at the Rajaji National Park, which opens at 6:00 am. Go on a safari and spot elephants, tigers, leopards and other animals in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, visit the Neer Garh Waterfall for a picnic and a swim. In the evening, attend a Ganga Aarti ceremony at Parmarth Niketan Ashram, where priests perform a ritual involving fire and chanting.

Consider trying out river rafting, taking a yoga class, or visiting the Tera Manzil Temple. You can also take a side trip to Haridwar or Dehradun for an extended trip. To maximize your fun, try to plan your itinerary in advance and book activities in advance, especially during peak season.
