2-Day Nature Itinerary for Saputara in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Gira Waterfall
    20 minutes (9.7 km) from Saputara Lake

    Start your day by visiting the picturesque Gira Waterfall. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery, and the sound of the water cascading down is truly mesmerizing. Spend your morning admiring the beauty of the waterfall, taking pictures, and enjoying the cool breeze. You can also take a dip in the natural pool at the bottom of the waterfall. In the afternoon, head to the Mahal Forest to explore the wildlife sanctuary. The sanctuary is home to a variety of animals, including tigers, leopards, and deer. You can take a guided jeep safari to explore the sanctuary. In the evening, head back to Saputara Lake to enjoy the beautiful sunset view.

  2. Day 2: Hatgad Fort
    40 minutes (16.5 km) from Saputara Lake

    Start your day by visiting the Hatgad Fort. The fort is located on top of a hill, and the trek to the top is a bit steep, but the view from the top is worth it. You can see the beautiful Sahyadri mountain range and the surrounding valleys from the top of the fort. Spend your morning exploring the fort and taking pictures. In the afternoon, head to the Vansda National Park to explore the wildlife. The park is home to a variety of animals, including tigers, panthers, and deer. You can take a guided safari to explore the park. In the evening, head back to Saputara Lake to enjoy the beautiful sunset view.
