3-Day Adventure Itinerary in Kodaikanal - July 2023

  1. Day 1: Coaker's Walk
    10 minutes (2.5 km) from Kodaikanal Bus Stand

    Start your day with a refreshing walk on Coaker's Walk, a scenic paved pedestrian path. Enjoy the morning mist and panoramic views of the valley and mountains. In the afternoon, head to the Kodaikanal Lake, a man-made lake surrounded by lush greenery. You can rent a boat or take a horse ride. In the evening, visit the Bryant Park, a botanical garden with varieties of flowers, trees, and plants. You can also enjoy a light and sound show.

  2. Day 2: Dolphin's Nose
    1 hour 15 minutes (39 km) from Kodaikanal Bus Stand

    Start your day early and go on a trek to Dolphin's Nose, a stunning viewpoint with a rock formation resembling a dolphin's nose. The trek is moderate and takes about 3 hours to complete. In the afternoon, visit the Bear Shola Falls, a seasonal waterfall surrounded by dense forest. Take a dip in the cool water or have a picnic. In the evening, head to the Green Valley View, also known as Suicide Point, for breathtaking views of the valley and sunset.

  3. Day 3: Pine Forest
    20 minutes (6 km) from Kodaikanal Bus Stand

    Start your day with a visit to the Pine Forest, a serene location with tall pine trees and a tranquil atmosphere. You can take a leisurely walk or have a picnic. In the afternoon, visit the Pillar Rocks, a set of three vertical granite boulders standing tall amidst lush greenery. You can also visit the Guna Caves nearby, which are believed to have been used as a shooting location for a popular Tamil movie. In the evening, head to the Kurinji Andavar Temple, a Hindu temple known for its architecture and scenic location.
