Starting our day by visiting the Kedarnath Temple, one of the most revered pilgrimages for Hindus. Afterward, we can grab a bite to eat at the nearby food stalls and explore the local markets for some souvenirs. In the evening, we can take a stroll by the Mandakini River and enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayan Range.
In the morning, we will leave for Vasuki Tal, a high altitude lake situated at an altitude of 4,135 meters. The trek to the lake is challenging, but the views are worth the effort. On our last day, we will visit Gandhi Sarovar, a glacial lake situated at an altitude of 3,900 meters. The trek to the lake is challenging, but the views of the surrounding peaks are breathtaking. We can have a picnic lunch by the lake and then start our descent back to Kedarnath. In the evening, we can relax at our hotel or guesthouse.
You can also visit the nearby town of Rudraprayag, which is located 71 km from Kedarnath. Another option is to go on a helicopter tour of the surrounding peaks and glaciers. If you have more time, you can plan a trip to Hemkund Sahib, a Sikh shrine situated at an altitude of 4,632 meters.
