Vrindavan-Mathura 2 day Itinerary (June 2023)

  1. Day 1: Sri Banke Bihari Temple
    10 minutes (2.8 km) from Vrindavan

    Visit the famous Sri Banke Bihari temple in the morning. This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and was built in 1864. The unique feature of this temple is that the divine idol of Lord Krishna is made of black stone. You can witness the 'Phool Bangla' or flower house, where the deity is adorned with flowers and fragrances. In the afternoon, explore the ISKCON temple, which is known for its beautiful architecture and peaceful atmosphere. The evening can be spent enjoying the light and sound show at the Mathura museum, which showcases the history of Mathura from the Kushan period to the modern era.

  2. Day 2: Prem Mandir
    15 minutes (4.8 km) from Vrindavan

    Start your day with a visit to Prem Mandir in Vrindavan. It is a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha. This temple is famous for its intricate architecture and exquisite carvings. In the afternoon, visit the Yamuna River and take a boat ride. You can also visit the Kesi Ghat, which is a sacred bathing ghat where Lord Krishna is said to have killed the demon Kesi.
