2-Day Itinerary for Coorg in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Abbey Falls
    30 minutes (9.5 km) from Madikeri

    In the morning, head to the stunning Abbey Falls. Surrounded by lush greenery, this waterfall is a sight to behold. Take a short trek to reach the waterfall and witness the water cascading down from a height of 70 feet. Afternoon, visit the Madikeri Fort, built-in 17th century AD by Mudduraja. Explore the museum inside the fort that showcases artifacts from the bygone era. In the evening, visit the Raja's Seat, a breathtaking garden with a panoramic view of the hills and valleys. Witness a stunning sunset from this viewpoint.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour 20 minutes (42.6 km) from Madikeri

    Early morning, head to Dubare Elephant Camp, situated on the banks of River Cauvery. Witness the majestic elephants being bathed and fed, and get an opportunity to interact with them. Enjoy a coracle ride and go for a nature walk in the surrounding forests. Afternoon, visit the Namdroling Monastery, home to over 5000 monks. Admire the intricate Tibetan architecture and beautiful murals. In the evening, visit the Talacauvery, the origin of River Cauvery. Take a dip in the holy waters and seek blessings at the temple.
