Start your adventure with an early morning trek to Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad. The trek to the peak takes around 3 hours and is a moderately difficult trail with stunning views of the valley. You will need to obtain a pass from the forest department to enter the area. In the afternoon, visit the Soochipara waterfalls, which is a 2 tiered waterfall cascading down 200 meters and surrounded by dense forests. You can take a dip in the natural pool at the bottom. In the evening, visit the Pookode Lake, a freshwater lake nestled amidst the hills. You can take a boat ride or go for a nature walk around the lake.
Start your day by exploring the Edakkal Caves, a pre-historic rock shelter formed naturally due to a large split in a huge rock. The hike to the caves takes around 45 minutes.
