Start your day by visiting the beautiful Pookode Lake which is situated in the lush green surroundings of the Western Ghats. Take a serene boat ride in the calm waters of the lake and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. Afternoon, head to the nearby Chain Tree, a large ficus tree with a legendary story, and learn about the folklore associated with it. Start your day by visiting the Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a rich variety of flora and fauna. Take a guided safari and spot some of the amazing wildlife of Wayanad like elephants, tigers, leopards, and more. Afternoon, head to the Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad. Trek up the scenic trail to the top of the peak and enjoy the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and valleys. In the evening, visit the Edakkal Caves, a set of prehistoric caves that have some amazing rock carvings and paintings.
You can also visit the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Pakshipathalam Bird Sanctuary if you are interested in wildlife and nature.
