Kedarnath: A 3-Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

    Early morning, start your trek to Kedarnath Temple from Gaurikund, the base camp. You will pass through dense forests, along with the beautiful Mandakini River. Take rest in the temple complex or visit nearby places like Bhairava Temple and Gandhi Sarovar in the afternoon. In the evening, you can attend the evening prayer ceremony at the Kedarnath Temple.

  2. Day 2: Vasuki Tal Lake
    Located at a height of 14,200 feet, 7 km trek from Kedarnath Temple

    Early morning, start your trek to Vasuki Tal Lake, a beautiful high altitude lake surrounded by the Himalayan peaks. The trek is challenging but rewarding with breathtaking views of the mountains and glaciers. Once you reach the lake, take some time to enjoy the serene surroundings. You can also go for a dip in the lake if you like. Have your packed lunch and start to trek back to Kedarnath Temple. You can visit Shankaracharya Samadhi, another religious site, in the evening.

  3. Day 3: Triyuginarayan Temple

    Early morning, start your drive to Triyuginarayan Temple, situated in a small village called Triyuginarayan. It is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married. The temple is surrounded by beautiful scenic views of the Himalayas and lush green hills. Spend some time exploring the temple complex and its surroundings. You can also visit the nearby town of Guptkashi in the afternoon. In the evening, depart for your next destination.
