Solo Trip for Munnar Itinerary (July 2023)

  1. Day 1: Echo Point

The scenic view of misty mountain ranges and the reflection of the hills on the lake will take your breath away. You can also hear your voice echoing in the valley, hence the name Echo Point. In the afternoon, head to the forest area nearby and trek through the lush greenery. In the evening, you can take a boat ride and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

  2. Day 2: Tea Museum and Pothamedu View Point
    20 minutes (7.5 km) from Echo Point

    Start your day by visiting the Tea Museum, which showcases the history and cultivation of tea in the region. You can also taste different types of tea and buy some as souvenirs. In the afternoon, head to Pothamedu View Point, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the tea plantations and the valley. You can also go for a short trek in the area. In the evening, enjoy a peaceful sunset while sipping on some hot tea.

Recommendations

Make sure to visit the Eravikulam National Park, which is closed in July due to the monsoon season. You can also visit the Anamudi Peak, which is the highest peak in South India and offers a stunning view of the surrounding hills.
