Kedarnath Bachelor Party Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple
    10 minutes (4.9 km) from Kedarnath Helipad

    Start your day at the holiest of all Shiva temples, the Kedarnath Temple. Situated at an altitude of 3,583 metres, the temple is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and offers breathtaking views of the Kedarnath range. In the morning, you can attend the morning aarti and seek blessings from Lord Shiva. In the afternoon, you can go for a trek to Vasuki Tal, a serene high-altitude lake. In the evening, stroll around the town and indulge in some local delicacies like Kachmauli and Bal Mithai.

  2. Day 2: Gandhi Sarovar
    30 minutes (17.2 km) from Kedarnath Temple

    Start early in the morning for a trek to Gandhi Sarovar. Situated at an altitude of 4,024 metres, it is a high altitude lake named after Mahatma Gandhi. The trek is moderately difficult and takes around 3-4 hours. In the afternoon, you can visit the Bhairavnath Temple, a 1.5 km trek from Kedarnath. In the evening, you can relax at your hotel or explore the local market.

  3. Day 3: Rudra Cave
    20 minutes (9.1 km) from Kedarnath Temple

    In the morning, visit the ancient Rudra Cave, which is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva. The cave is located at an altitude of 2,286 metres and can be reached after a 2 km trek. In the afternoon, you can visit the nearby Triyuginarayan Temple, where Lord Shiva and Parvati got married. In the evening, enjoy a campfire and barbecue at your hotel.

  4. Day 4: Sonprayag
    1 hour 45 minutes (35.7 km) from Kedarnath Temple

    Start your day early and drive to Sonprayag, where the Mandakini and Songanga rivers meet. You can take a dip in the holy waters of the rivers and visit the nearby Gaurikund Temple. In the afternoon, you can go for a trek to the Vasudhara Falls, which is a 6-7 hour trek from Sonprayag. In the evening, return to your hotel and relax.

  5. Day 5: Chandrashila
    1 hour 15 minutes (41.4 km) from Kedarnath Temple

    In the morning, visit the Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world. It is situated at an altitude of 3,680 metres and can be reached after a 3.5 km trek. After darshan, you can continue trekking to Chandrashila Peak, which is situated at an altitude of 4,000 metres. The trek takes around 2-3 hours. In the evening, return to your hotel and relax.

  6. Day 6: Departure
    10 minutes (4.9 km) from Kedarnath Helipad

    In the morning, check out of your hotel and depart for the Kedarnath Helipad for your return journey. Remember to carry all your belongings and luggage before leaving the hotel. You can also buy some souvenirs from the local market before your departure.

Recommendations

If you have time, consider visiting the nearby Badrinath Temple and Hemkund Sahib. You can also try camping and trekking in the nearby Valley of Flowers National Park. For adventure seekers, there are options for white water rafting and bungee jumping in nearby towns. Make sure to carry warm clothes and comfortable shoes for trekking.
