Recommendations

If you have time, you can explore the Cabo De Rama Fort, a 16th-century fort with a panoramic view of the Arabian Sea. Side trips to the nearby towns of Margao and Ponda are also suggested as they offer a cultural insight into the Goan way of life. To maximize your fun, try attending a Goa Carnival, a 4-day festival of music, dance, and gourmet food held in February. Other suggestions include visiting the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, and indulging in some adventurous water sports at the Baga Beach.
