Bachelor Party Itinerary for Wayanad in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Chembra Peak
    30 minutes (11.5 km) from Kalpetta

    For the morning, hike up to the Chembra peak, the highest peak in Wayanad. The trek takes you through dense forests, grasslands and steep rocky terrains. The view from the top is simply breathtaking and worth the climb. For the afternoon, visit the Pookode Lake, a freshwater lake surrounded by lush greenery, and go for a boat ride. In the evening, unwind at the Banasura Hill Resort which has a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the Banasura Sagar dam.

  2. Day 2: Thirunelli Temple
    1 hour 20 minutes (50 km) from Banasura Hill Resort

    Start your day with a visit to the Thirunelli Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is surrounded by lush greenery and the Papanasini river flows nearby. Take a dip in the river which is believed to wash away your sins. For the afternoon, head to the Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary and go on a wildlife safari. The sanctuary is home to many species of animals such as elephants, tigers, leopards and many more. In the evening, visit the Kuruva Island, a group of small islands in the Kabini river. The place is known for its serene beauty and is a great spot for a picnic.

  3. Day 3: Edakkal Caves
    1 hour 10 minutes (28 km) from Kuruva Island

    Start your day with a visit to the Edakkal Caves, a group of natural caves that have ancient rock carvings and paintings. The trek to the caves can be a bit challenging but the experience is worth it. For the afternoon, visit the Soochipara Falls, a three-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush green forests. You can take a dip in the crystal-clear water and enjoy the scenic beauty. In the evening, visit the Wayanad Heritage Museum which has a collection of artifacts and exhibits that showcase the culture and heritage of Wayanad.
