Three-Day Waynad Motorcycle Riding Itinerary in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Phantom Rock
    23 minutes (10.4 miles) from Kalpetta

    Morning: Ride towards the Phantom Rock, a natural metamorphic rock formation located in the serene woods of North Waynad. The place is named after the skull-shaped rock that sits on top of a larger rock. Enjoy the natural surroundings and take a walk around the area.

    Afternoon: Head to the Edakkal Caves, which are located 28 minutes (9.5 miles) away from Phantom Rock. The caves are famous for their pictorial wall inscriptions, which are considered to be the earliest forms of human communication. Spend time exploring the caves and learning about their historical significance.

    Evening: Relax and enjoy the sunset at the Banasura Sagar Dam, which is 46 minutes (19.1 miles) away from the caves. This is the largest earth dam in India and offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. You can also indulge in various adventure sports, such as speed boating, trekking, and zip-lining.

  2. Day 2: Chembra Peak
