3-Day Itinerary for Coorg in September 2023

  1. Day 1: Talacauvery
    1 hour 50 minutes (52.3 km) from Madikeri

    Talacauvery is the birthplace of the river Cauvery. The site is marked by a small shrine and a pond. In the morning, take a dip in the pond to cleanse your sins. Afterward, visit the nearby Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary for a jungle safari. In the evening, head to the nearby Bhagamandala temple that is dedicated to Lord Shiva and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding hills.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    40 minutes (17.6 km) from Madikeri

    Dubare Elephant Camp provides a unique opportunity to interact with elephants and observe their daily activities. In the morning, watch the elephants being bathed and fed. Afterward, go for a coracle ride in the nearby river. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Nisargadhama Forest Park for a picnic and to watch the animals in their natural habitat. In the evening, visit the Madikeri Fort and the Raja's Seat, which offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

  3. Day 3: Abbey Falls and Iruppu Falls
