3-Day Itinerary for Udupi in July 2023

  1. Day 1: St. Mary’s Island
    31 minutes (13.5 km) from Udupi

    Start your day by taking a ferry ride to the St. Mary’s Island, a beautiful island known for its mesmerizing columnar basaltic rock formations. Spend the morning exploring the island, taking pictures, and enjoying the pristine beaches. Have a quick lunch at the island's cafe, and head back to the mainland by noon. In the afternoon, visit the Anantheshwara temple, the oldest temple in Udupi, which is known for its unique architecture and intricate carvings. End the day with a visit to the Malpe Beach, one of Udupi’s most popular beaches known for its scenic beauty and water sports activities.

  2. Day 2: Sri Krishna Matha and Kapu Beach
    10 minutes (5.1 km) from St. Mary’s Island

    Begin your day by visiting the Sri Krishna Matha, a famous temple in Udupi dedicated to Lord Krishna. Take a tour of the temple complex, and learn about its history and significance. Once you’re done with the temple, head to Mitra Samaj Road, which is known for its street food. Grab a quick lunch and head to the Kapu Beach, known for its serene and tranquil environment. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach and taking a dip in the sea. In the evening, visit the Kapu Lighthouse, known for its stunning views of the Arabian Sea and the surrounding landscape.

  3. Day 3: Kudlu Falls and Udupi cuisine tour
    1 hour 20 minutes (60 km) from Kapu Beach

    On your last day, visit the Kudlu Falls, a gorgeous waterfall located amidst lush greenery. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the waterfall and the surrounding landscape, and take a dip in the cool waters of the falls. After your visit to the falls, head back to Udupi for a unique culinary experience.
