Explore the winding streets of Rhodes Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, an impressive fortress that dates back to the 14th century. Stroll through the cobblestone streets lined with medieval buildings, and stop at a local taverna to try traditional Greek cuisine.
Visit the charming village of Lindos, known for its white-washed houses and the ancient Acropolis that overlooks the village from a rocky hill. Climb to the top of the hill to admire the views or relax on one of the nearby beaches, such as Saint Paul's Bay. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a seaside taverna and watch the sunset over the Aegean Sea.
Take a scenic drive to Butterfly Valley, a unique nature reserve that is home to thousands of colorful butterflies during the summer months. Then head to Seven Springs, a lush green oasis hidden in the mountains. You can walk through a dark tunnel to reach the springs where you can swim, go for a paddle boat ride or simply relax under the shade of the trees.
Visit the southernmost tip of Rhodes at Prasonisi Beach. This beach is well-known for its unique location where two seas meet, making it a popular spot for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Relax on the sand or hire equipment to try one of these exhilarating water sports for yourself. Finish your day with a sunset drink at the nearby surf bar.
Most attractions are accessible by car or public transportation. Car rental starts from 25 EUR/day, or you can use public buses that travel between major towns and villages. Taxis are also available but can be more expensive.
If you have more time, consider adding a visit to the ancient city of Kamiros or the scenic village of Siana. If you have less time, skip Seven Springs and spend more time exploring Rhodes Old Town or relaxing on the beach at Lindos.
Rhodes International Airport (RHO) is located in Diagoras, 16 km southwest of Rhodes Town.
