Three-Day Nature Itinerary for Coorg in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Nagarhole National Park
    1 hour 40 minutes (46.3 km) from Coorg

    Get ready to explore Nagarhole National Park, which is home to a plethora of flora and fauna. In the morning, embark on a wildlife safari to spot tigers, elephants, deer, and a myriad of bird species. After the safari, take a lazy boat ride on the Kabini river, which offers a scenic view of the park. Later in the evening, visit the nearby Iruppu Falls and take a dip in the refreshing waters.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour 20 minutes (36.8 km) from Nagarhole National Park

    Start the day at the Dubare Elephant Camp, where you can watch elephants being bathed and fed. Participate in various activities like elephant rides, coracle boat rides, and river rafting. After a fun-filled morning, head to the nearby Nisargadhama Island for a peaceful picnic lunch. In the evening, visit the Namdroling Monastery, a peaceful Buddhist temple that houses a 60-foot-high golden statue of Buddha.

  3. Day 3: Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary
    1 hour 45 minutes (46.2 km) from Dubare Elephant Camp

    On the last day, head to the Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary, which is known for its beautiful trekking trails. Start the day with a trek to the Brahmagiri peak, which offers a panoramic view of the surrounding hills and forests. After the trek, visit the Thirunelli Temple, an ancient Hindu temple that is believed to be over 1000 years old. Later in the evening, visit the Abbey Falls, a scenic waterfall tucked away in the Western Ghats.
