3-Day Luxury Itinerary for Coorg in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Abbey Falls
    30 minutes (11.5 km) from Madikeri

    In the morning, visit Abbey Falls, one of the most popular tourist spots in Coorg. The waterfall is surrounded by coffee plantations and spice estates, and the view is breathtaking. Take a walk around the falls and enjoy the cool breeze. After lunch, head to the Raja's Seat, a beautiful garden with a panoramic view of the hills and valleys. In the evening, visit the Madikeri Fort and witness the history of Coorg in the museum inside.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour 20 minutes (43.4 km) from Madikeri

    In the morning, take a drive to Dubare Elephant Camp, where you can observe elephants in their natural habitat. You can watch the elephants being bathed and fed, and even take a ride on their backs. After lunch, head to the Golden Temple, a beautiful Buddhist monastery with stunning architecture. In the evening, visit the Nisargadhama Forest and enjoy a walk on the hanging bridge amid lush greenery.

  3. Day 3: Talacauvery and Bhagamandala
    1 hour 10 minutes (37.9 km) from Madikeri

    In the morning, visit Talacauvery, the birthplace of the Kaveri River. The temple here is dedicated to Lord Brahma, and the view from the temple is magnificent. After lunch, head to Bhagamandala, where the Kaveri River meets the Sujyoti River and the Kanika River. The Bhagandeshwara Temple here is a popular attraction. In the evening, visit the Omkareshwara Temple, a beautiful temple with Islamic and Gothic architecture.
