2-Day Motorcycle Ride Itinerary from Mysuru to Munnar in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Ride to Bandipur National Park

    Located in the foothills of the Nilgiris, Bandipur National Park is a perfect place to begin your motorcycle adventure. In the evening, relax at one of the park's eco-tourism resorts and enjoy some traditional South Indian cuisine.

  2. Day 2: Ride to Munnar
    4.5 hours (132 miles) from Bandipur National Park

    Enjoy a scenic ride across the Western Ghats to Munnar. In the morning, visit the Tea Museum in the heart of the town and learn about the history of tea production in India. In the afternoon, take a ride to the Mattupetty Dam and enjoy a picnic with a view of the lake. In the evening, visit the Kundala Dam Lake and take a boat ride to see the stunning sunset over the surrounding hills.

Recommendations

Make sure to bring warm clothing as Munnar can get chilly in August. You can also consider visiting the nearby Eravikulam National Park or taking a day trip to the scenic hill station of Kodaikanal. To maximize your fun, try to plan your ride during the week when there are fewer tourists and less traffic on the roads.
